Lori Berd
On the left bank of Dzoraget river, not too far from Stepanavan city, lie the ruins of medieval fortress-city Loriberd. In the 10-12cc it was the center of Lori princedom. After many attacks and sieges the city was gradually abandoned. Already by the end of 18th century only a little settlement was left on the site of once a mighty fotress, which in the 20th century was moved to the west of the ancient city. -
Kayan Fortress
Kayan Berd was built in 1233 and is located between the monasteries of Sanahin and Haghpat.Read more
