Hovhannavank Monastery
Hovhannavank Monastery is situated in Ohanavank village of Ashtarak region. St. Karapet – the main church – was built 1216-1221. In 1250 prince Kurd Vachutian built the narthex from the west of the church. There are ruins of a 4th century chapel in the western part of the complex.

Tegher Monastery
The monastery of Tegher is situated in the village carrying the same name. St. Astvatsatsin church was built in 1213, and the narthex was attached to its western side in 1221.Read more
